Haaland’s bizarre post-match Interview left fans speechless

Erling Haaland’s post-match interview following Borussia Dortmund’s victory over Schalke has left fans wondering if the Norwegian is an ‘actual human being’.

The 19-year-old opened the scoring on Saturday afternoon as his side ran out 4-0 winners in the Revierderby.

Following the game he was brought in for an interview with beIN SPORTS and it’s safe to say the Norwegian wasn’t in a talkative mood.

The interviewer asked why Dortmund players decided to clap the ‘Yellow Wall’ despite no fans being inside Signal Iduna Park.

Haaland bluntly replied: “Why not?”

After an awkward few second silence and a raise of the eyebrow from Haaland, the interviewer proceeded to ask if it was a message the Bundesliga outfit wanted to send out.

Haaland then said there was and the reporter asks what the message was.

The striker then adds: “The message was to my fans, to Dortmund’s fans.”

He is then asked if fans are everything to football and he quickly states they are, before darting away from the interview abruptly.

Fans have reacted to the interview on social media and they think Haaland may have taken the praise of being a ‘machine’ too literally.

Dortmund fans likely won’t mind as long as Haaland keeps up his fine form.

He netted his tenth goal of the Bundesliga season this afternoon to get the ball rolling for Lucien Favre’s side.

An exchange with Schalke defender Jean-Clair Todibo was also picked up by cameras for a bit of controversy off the ball.
