Heartland, Pillar share points in Aba, Enyimba, 3SC battle

Hard fighting Kano Pillars held Heartland of Owerri to a 1-1 draw at the Enyimba international stadium in the Nigeria Professional Premier League on Saturday.

Pillars incidentally in what could appear like a business minded approach shot into the lead in the 29th minute thanks to Ibrahim Mustapha despite having minimal possession compared Heartland put statistically at 52% to 48%.

Pillars maintained the tempo and it took Heartland entire duration of the match to level up in the first minute of added time to arrest what was apparently leading to a defeat.

Heartland have only managed a victory in six matches achieved last year against Remo Stars, otherwise the team has lost three matches with two draws.

 Pillars on their part have drawn two matches, won three and lost one against Niger Toranadores late last year. Heartland will be looking forward to picking a point when they confront Lobi Stars next while Pillars host Sunshine Stars.

 Enyimba and visiting 3SC are currently slogging it out at the same venue.
