Francis Uzoho
Uzoho’s confidence keeps growing with the Super Eagles. The former junior international made two excellent saves to keep a clean sheet. Beyond the saves, he was rarely tested. 6/10
Shehu Abdullahi
The Buraspor of Turkey right back was on the pitch for 18 minutes before he replaced by Ola Aina due to a thigh injury. He held his own. Unfortunately, he has been ruled out of the second leg. 5/10
Leon Balogun
He was calm and confident throughout the game 6/10
William Troost-Ekong
Ekong’s game has greatly improved since moving to Italy to pitch tent with Udinese. He combined very well with Balogun in the centre. 7/10
Jamilu Collins
He had a decent outing bearing in mind it was his first competitive game for the Eagles. He was unlucky not to have capped his day with a goal. 6/10
Wilfred Ndidi
Posted good cover for the defence. 7/10
Oghenekaro Etebo
He combined effectively with Ndidi in the heart of the Eagles midfield. The Stoke City midfielder was instrumental in the team keeping hold of the ball for the better part of the game. 6/10
Samuel Kalu
Kalu had a goal to his name but still needs to work on his crosses and finishing. 6/10
Ahmed Musa
He made the pull out that resulted in Nigeria’s third goal by Odion Ighalo, but had a quiet game unlike against Seychelles. 6/10
Alex Iwobi
Iwobi provided the assist for Ighalo’s second goal which was the only high-point of his game. 6/10
Odion Ighalo
He finally silenced his critics with his hat-trick. 8/10.

Isaac Success: Didn’t do much on the pitch. 4/10
Ola Aina: He was a bit heavy. 5/10
Henry Onyekuru: He was too stylish and should have scored after replacing Musa. He however made up for his mistake by providing the assist for Kalu to score the fourth goal. 4/10
