I wanted to celebrate my birthday with goals–Abraham

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham had expected a tough away challenge in yesterday’s champions League fixture at Lille.

But, Abrahma who turned 22 yesterday revealed he was ready to hit the net and celebrate his day with goals but the Victor Osimhen’s side were a hard nut to crack.

In his post match interview he revealed that he knew he was going to score when the chance came in the 22nd minute into the match

 “We knew we needed to win. I knew I would get a chance and I took it well. Never an easy place to play and Willian scored a worldie – no surprise there.

“The manager always wants to mix things up, we can play any system. This is massive.”

Chelsea midfielder Willian also confirmed that the Champions league game was tough to win.

He said, “We needed to win, we have been working hard and the lads did an amazing job. Now we have to carry on.”

Arrizabalaga; Charged out of his goal well to clear from Osimhen. Made several good saves. Had no chance with the goal. 7

Azpilicueta; Moved back into the centre of the three man defence. Solid as ever. Covered well. 7

Zouma; Recalled. One misplaced pass. Then missed the corner for Lille’s equaliser. Shaky. 6

Tomori; Lovely chip caught out the Lille defence to set up Abraham’s goal. But looked vulnerable occasionally. 6

James; The 19 year old made his Champions league debut in only his second game. Looked confident going forward. Caught out once or twice. Booked. 7

Kante; Back after a hamstring injury. Looked a bit rusty but use of the ball as good as ever. 7

Jorginho; Controlled the game in the centre. Unlucky not to score with shot that hit post. 7
