Ighalo to be on the sidelines due to hamstring injury

Nigeria forward, Odion Ighalo is expected to miss some matches for Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua due to a hamstring injury sustained during the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The 30-year-old who has retired from international football scored the only goal against Tunisia in the third-place match before getting injured

Now back to his base in China, Ighalo through his Instagram page promised to return stronger.

“This is the most difficult season in my club career but playing for my country has always been a dream and this is the last big tournament in my international career.

“I’m so unlucky to have gotten the same injury and especially this period that my team needs me. I feel so sorry for the fans that I will be missing some games but I will work hard to be back ASAP to end the season very well,” posted the player.
