Super Eagles, Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his delight that Leicester City ended the weekend in victory ahead of the international break which begins next week.

Ndidi was on for Leicester City who secured a 2-1 away victory against Burnley in Saturday’s English Premier League clash at Turf Moor.

“What a win and a good way to end the week ahead of the international break,” tweeted Ndidi.

It was Leicester’s second straight victory under new manager Brendan Rogers.

Playing with 10-men following the dismissal of Harry Maguire in the early minutes, Leicester still took the lead through James Maddison in the 33rd minute.

Dwight McNeil however equalized for Burnley five minutes later.

Late in the second half, Wes Morgan scored a late winner for the Foxes to earn the valuable the three points.

While Ndidi was on the pitch, compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho watched from the bench as the foxes ran away with victory.

Ndidi will report to the Eagles camp from next week ahead of the March 22 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles in Asaba.
