Calhanoglu scored a goal from the spot and delivered an assist for Federico Dimarco in a 4-0 victory on Saturday, which helped Simone Inzaghi’s side return to the top of the Serie A table.

‘Calha’ was the MOTM according to Gazzetta and Tuttosport who rated the Turkish star 7.5/10.

‘A conductor worthy of La Scala, Inter play beautifully,’ wrote Gazzetta journalist Davide Stoppini.

‘Flawless from the spot, golden assist for Dimarco.’

Calhanoglu received the same rating from Il Corriere dello Sport where, however, Dimarco was the best player on the pitch with a slightly higher grade, 8/10.

The Italian defender played a ‘magnificent’ game, wrote the Rome-based paper, highlighting how most of Inter’s attacks started from the left flank.

Coach Inzaghi also received high ratings from Italian sports papers: 7.5 from Gazzetta and Corriere, and 8 from Tuttosport. All Inter players received a passing grade on Italian sports papers, so at least 6/10.

Inter will host Real Sociedad in the final Champions League group stage game on Tuesday and will visit Lazio on Sunday, December 17, in the next Serie A match.
