Iwobi rated above average against West Ham

Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi may have been at the receiving end with premier league side, Arsenal against West Ham on Saturday in a premier league fixture,  but that didn’t stop him from being praised for making his presence felt.

According to 4thofficial.net in their post-match review,  the player was hailed for doing a yeoman’s job at the left flank on a day the Gunners started the game on the back-foot, which gave the Hammers the room to create more of the scoring chances.

The Nigerian who has been enjoying rave reviews in the last few weeks was unfortunate not to have restored parity in the 66th minute.

He therefore got a rating of 6/10 which he hopes to improve upon when they face Chelsea who are fourth on the table next Saturday.

“The Gunners winger was a good weapon down the left flank. He came the closest to scoring an equaliser in the second half and was unfortunate not to have better luck in front of goal,” said the website.

Still fifth on the log, Arsenal were looking forward to closing the gap, but suffered their fifth of the season which has now put their Champions League qualification and a top four finish in serious jeopardy.

West Ham took the lead early in the second half through Declan Rice’s smart finish in the 48th minute.
