Jubilation as Eagles star’s boss gets boost at top Spanish club
Ramon Azeez’s boss at Granada Diego Martinez has signed a new contract.
The football tactician was rewarded with a one-year extension, which means that his new deal will now expire on June 30, 2021.
Martinez guided Granada to promotion last year and even took the Andalusian side top of LaLiga Santander, until a run of three straight defeats saw them drop down the table.
Interestingly, the extension comes on the eve of Martinez’s 500th day in charge of Granada, in which time he has seen the club through 56 matches.

In those 56 games, Granada won 29, drawn 15 and lost 12, while they netted 73 goals and conceded 47.
