La Liga: Coronavirus set to force clubs keep out fans

The Italian government suspended all sporting events on Monday, March 9 to April 3, while the Community of Madrid has ordered the closure of schools and universities in an attempt to halt the spread of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a decision will be taken in the coming hours on whether matches of the upcoming matchday, scheduled for between March 13 and 15, will be held behind closed doors.

The Spanish Minister of Health, Salvador Illa has confirmed that Sevilla will face Roma without fans in the stands of the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

LaLiga are waiting for the reports of the Spanish Autonomous Communities to take action for the next LaLiga Santander games and announce whether there will be matches played behind closed doors.

UEFA have confirmed on Monday that the Champions League game between Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund and the Europa League tie between Olympiacos and Wolverhampton Wanderers will be held in front of empty stands.
