Lagos State Government hosts Super Eagles; urges them to beat Benin, Lesotho
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, Thursday hosted the Super Eagles at the Government House in Marina.
The Lagos State Governor wished the team well ahead of the two matches against the Republic of Benin and Lesotho respectively. He also received a signed jersey from the players.
“Football is a national treasure for us as Nigerians and Lagos has historically favoured the Super Eagles so we wished them well with prayers and good cheer”, Sanwo Olu stated on his Twitter.

The team had their second training session on Wednesday evening at the Teslim Balogun, where they will take on Lesotho on March 30th after their game against Benin.

However, unlike the opening training session on Tuesday, which was made available to the public, Wednesday’s session was behind closed doors.
The team’s media officer, Femi Raji, told Soccernet that subsequent training sessions would also be behind closed doors as it is necessary they observe Covid-19 protocols.
Following their training session, which ended around 5:30 pm on Wednesday, the team arrived at the hotel around 7:30 pm.
However, they did not have their dinner as usual as they had another engagement.
