Lampard insists Chelsea defence can still improve

Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has said his defence can still improve.

Chelsea have kept seven clean sheets in their last nine-game, and Lampard says there were “some things to address on the training pitch”.

“Some of the goals we have conceded this year were mistakes, and earlier this season too,” said Lampard.

“Sometimes they are fine margins and what has gone up is the confidence and the concentration of the team.

“Work and personnel helps that, we have had big individuals that have come in with Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell, and the collective has to be the most important thing.”
