Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has described Las Palmas 4-0 defeat against Alaves as ‘terrible’ after it left them in danger of relegation.

The 22-year-old was in action for 90minutes but could not help as his team was taken apart by the exciting Alaves side in front of their home fans.

It was an unusal game as the first half ended goalless but six minutes inside the second half Munir El Haddadi opened scoring for the away side and doubled the lead in the 73rd minute.

It went from bad to worse for Las Palmas as Alvaro Medran and Ruben Sobrino added two more goals to make it 4-0.

Speaking to SportingLife after the game from Spain, Etebo revealed: “The defeat was terrible. We did not give our best and were punished for it.”

The other Nigerian in theLas Palmas side, Imoh Ezekiel played for 71minutes before he was substituted for Hernan Toledo.

Las Palmas are currently placed second from bottom in the 20-team La Liga while Alaves sit 13th with 41points with four matches left to play this season.
