Leicester City are in a pole position to sign in-demand France Under-21 international Boubakary Soumare.
The Lille midfielder has been linked with a number of European heavyweights, including both Manchester clubs and AC Milan.
Leeds United and Newcastle United are also said to be interested.
But the Foxes appear to be best placed to sign Soumare, who is valued at €35m (£30.3m).
According to The Guardian, City are hoping to secure the player for a cut-price fee as he will soon be entering the final year of his contract.
The former Paris Saint-Germain youngster, who was signed by Lille in 2017, has 10 caps for France U21s but is yet to make his senior debut for his country.
The 21-year-old has been almost ever-present this season for Lille, who, like Leicester, progressed from their Europa League group.
Lille lost 2-1 at home to Ajax in the first leg.
