Leicester City ‘ll learn from Europa defeat – Rodgers

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, tried to look at the positives after his side were knocked out of the Europa League.

The Foxes were favourites to progress into the last 16 against Slavia Prague, even after a 0-0 draw in the first leg away from home.

But Leicester shockingly lost 2-0 at home and were dumped out of the competition.

“It’s been great for us, it’s what you want,” the 48-year-old told LCFC TV about being in the Europa League this term.

“You want to be playing lots of games, so we just need to learn from it and, hopefully next year, be in Europe again and be better.

“I think, with this squad, I’m very fortunate, they’re so, so honest. It’s a very honest team. What we’ve always done is respond, so we need to recover now.

“It’s a short turnaround, a couple of days, and then we’ll get ready to go again at the weekend (vs. Arsenal), which is a big game for us.”
