Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG set to battle for Nigerian youngster

Owen Otasowie is reportedly being pursued by French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who hope to sign the Wolves youngster before Premier League sides make their first move.

Otasowie, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, England or the United States, will be out of contract at Molineux in summer and will be able to pursue options elsewhere.

The 18-year-old operates predominantly at centre back but can also be deployed across the midfield.

PSG have stepped up their interest after being impressed by the youngster during a recent Under-23 game in the Premier League International Cup, reports The Sun.

But PSG are reported to be rivaled by Liverpool and Arsenal, who have been keeping tabs on Otasowie’s development.

Interest is however said to be much further afield, with Bundesliga outfit Schalke in the running.

The German side, managed by former Huddersfield chief David Wagner, will look to use their reputation as cultivators of youth talent in order to bring in the defender in summer.

While Otasowie can depart Wolves for free following the expiration of his contract, compensation will be due to the Midlands club for his development.

So far this season the 18-year-old has found his game time limited, having made 86 minutes across four games in the Premier League 2.
