Man U ace Lindelof’s house broken into during match

Manchester United confirmed Victor Lindelof’s house was broken into while he was playing for the club on Wednesday against Brentford. Lindelof family were home during the incident but were reportedly unharmed.

The Sweden international played out the entire 3-1 win, with wife Maja Nilsson Lindelof saying she hid in a room with her children before entering the house.

A statement from United said: “We can confirm that Victor Lindelof’s home was broken into during the away game against Brentford.

His family, who was home at the time, were unharmed but clearly shaken. This was a painful experience for them, and for Victor when he heard about it after the game, and the club offers them our full support.

“We recommend anyone with information about the crime to contact the police.”

In an Instagram story, Lindelof’s wife Maja said: “We are okay under the circumstances, but it was clearly a very traumatic and frightening moment for both my small children and me.

“We are now in Sweden and spending some free time with our families.”
