Man United close to signing Real Madrid defender
Manchester United are reportedly closing in on their latest high-profile signing of the summer.
After finally concluding and announcing their £73m deal for England winger Jadon Sancho, the Red Devils now firmly have their eyes fixed on Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
And according to French publication Le Parisien, we are “rapidly approaching an agreement” between United and Madrid after discussions between the two clubs progressed quickly on Sunday.

Highly-rated centre-back Varane, 28, has entered the final 12 months of his contract in the Spanish capital and rejected the offer of an extension.
He resumed pre-season training with Madrid on Friday after being given holiday in the aftermath of France’s shock early exit from Euro 2020.
