Man Utd set to put David de Gea up for sale

Manchester United are keen to move David de Gea on in the next transfer window.

It comes after a number of mistakes this season that have cost the club points while Dean Henderson waits in the wings.

The Red Devils see the Englishman as the future and have no plans to sign another first-team goalkeeper for many years.

At 23, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did not want to rush him into the starting XI from the get-go.

Henderson spent two successful loans at Sheffield United but being between the posts at Old Trafford is another matter.

De Gea, on the other hand, has been undoubtedly one of United’s best players over the past decade.

But his impact is slipping after a number of eyebrow-raising performances, including a poor showing against Everton that saw him score twice.

According to Todofichajes, club officials are keen to offload the former Atletico Madrid in the next transfer window.

And there are already a number of suitors, including Paris St-Germain, Juventus and Inter Milan.

His contract expires in the summer of 2023, which may be some time, but this summer represents United’s best chance of selling high.
