Mikel leads Eagles in New Year celebrations

 

Super Eagles players were not left out as they joined other football stars across the world in celebrating the new year 2019, SportingLife.ng reports.

The players said goodbye to 2018 in style with many happy to see the back of the year and for some, putting family at the forefront of new year plans.

Super Eagles and Tianjin Teda captain, John Obi Mikel led the celebration party by uploading a picture with his Russian girlfriend, Olga Diyachenko on his Instagram page.

“Wishing everyone a very happy, prosperous and successful 2019 ♥️,” the 31 year old said along with the picture.

Super Eagles vice captain and Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward, Ahmed Musa uploaded a picture with his wife Juliet and their newly born baby on his Instagram page, saying, “Happy New Year ❤️ 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣✅ ALLAH BLESS US ALL THIS NEW YEAR AMEEN 🙏❤️.”

Chelsea winger, Victor Moses is also looking forward to a better year 2019. “2018 was a year to remember and now it’s time to make 2019 even better🙏🏿 Happy New Year everyone,” he tweeted via his verified Twitter account @VictorMoses

Udinese defender, William Troost-Ekong said it was a memorable year for himself and his family. The 25 year old also posted a picture with his girlfriend with the caption, “What a year 2018 has been for my family and me. Too many moments to share but here are a few. Thank you all for your love and support. Wish you all a good 2019 🥂🎉⬅️ 🥂🎉🎇.”

Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo who is on loan at CD Leganés in Spain posted a picture with his wife, Chioma and their newly born daughter. “Happy new year from us.. 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🎊,” he simply said on his Instagram page.

Chievo Verona midfielfer, Joel Obi celebrated the first day on 2019 with his wife and two kids also said, “Happy 2019 to everyone🎉🎉🎉🎉#blessed #oluwaisinvolved #alwayshappy #grateful.

Bursaspor defender, Shehu Abdullahi also wrote on his Twitter handle‏ @OfficialShehu, “Happy New Year!!! 💚💚🇳🇬. Thanks for the support in 2018.”

Levante forward, Moses Simon was not left out as he uploaded a picture of his family members on his Instagram page. “Happy new year🕺❤,” he said.

VfL Wolfsburg forward Victor Osimhen, who currently plays on loan with Charleroi believes 2019 will be a greater year.
