The head coach of the senior national team, Gernot Rohr told journalists in Port Harcourt that the result of the scanconducted on the Gent of Belgium striker showed that he will be out of action for three or four weeks.

He said it was unfortunate that the striker will be missing out on his first World Cup finals but opined that he is
confident that the remaining players playing in the same position as he is will be able to carry on without him.

“Unfortunately, Simon Moses is injured. Our medical staff told me that the injury will take about three or four weeks to heal,” Rohr told journalists.

He is out and it has been confirmed. It is a difficult decision but I know that Simon will come back stronger.”
It was scooped that Simon sustained the injury while with his Belgian club but got worsened in one of Eagles training sessions in Uyo
