Mourinho promises to bring passion to Tottenham as he holds first training

Jose Mourinho held his first training as Tottenham boss on Wednesday afternoon promising to bring passion to the club who are the 14th on the premier league table.

Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked on Tuesday night and hit the ground running immediately.

Earlier Mourinho outlined his ambitions for Spurs after sealing his return to management 11 months after he was sacked by Manchester United.

He told Tottenham’s website: ‘I couldn’t be happier and if I was not as happy as I am, I wouldn’t be here.’

‘What can I promise? Passion, real passion. Passion for my job, but also passion for my club, that’s the way I have been all my career and I want to try, obviously, everything to bring happiness to everyone who loves the club.’

Spurs face West Ham away on Saturday.
