Musa wishes ailing mother speedy recovery

Al Nassr attacker, Ahmed Musa has opened up on why he returned to Nigeria after the Super Eagles 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifiers against Libya in Tunisia instead of heading back to Saudi Arabia.

The Nigeria international who captained the Eagles in the encounter in the absence of Mikel Obi and injured vice Ogenyi Onazi said he had to be with his mother who has been under the weather for some time.

Musa returned with the Max Air Chartered flight that brought the Nigeria delegation to Abuja from where he headed for Jos.

“Stayed here to be by my mother side. She was recently ill, I pray for her speedy recovery and good health. I love you mum!,” he posted on Twitter on Friday.

He also missed Al Nassr’s premier league match against Al Baten today.
