Nations Cup: Ighalo is key for Eagles success – ROHR
Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has revealed that Odion Ighalo is key for super eagles winning the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt irrespective of where he plays in Chinese Super League.
Speaking in a chat with Sportinglife, Rohr said the eagles forward has shown a great quality that he can be trusted in a good day to lead the team to victory.
” Look playing in China has nothing to do with performance. Ighalo practically qualified us for the Nation Cup despite playing in Chinese Super League. My prayer is for him to remain in top form for the AFCON. He is a key to us winning the AFCON in Egypt which is my target. He has courage and speed which is very important in any competition”. Rohr said
He also said the Changchun Yatai striker has been in a superlative form after the world cup in Russia both for his club and the senior national team.
