Ndidi plays for 90 minutes as Leicester compounds Man City’s misery

Manchester City were again at the receiving end on Wednesday, losing 2-1 to Leicester City who came from behind to shock their opponents at the King Power Stadium in an English Premier League fixture.

Nigeria international, Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester who have climbed to the seventh position on the table, while City have dropped to the third position after suffering three consecutive defeats. Colleague and compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho was not listed in the match day squad.

An excited Ndidi hailed his teammates for the victory which started in the 19th minute when Marc Albrighton equalised for the Fixes after Bernardo Silva had given City the lead five minutes earlier.

“3 points in the bag, Foxes never quit ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ,” Ndidi posted on Twitter.

Ricardo Pereira then came up with a spectacular strike to score what turned out to be the winner in the 81st minute.

It was the first time the Citizens had lost back to back competitive games since April โ€“ 2-3 vs Man United and 1-2 vs Liverpool in the UCL โ€“ but not since 2015 did they lose two consecutive league matches โ€“ Crystal Palace 2-1 and Manchester United 4-2.
