NFF confirms Uzoho’s six-month injury layoff
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday confirmed the injury of Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho which he sustained in last Sunday’s friendly against Brazil in Singapore.
Uzoho, who horribly twisted his leg as he went for the ball from a corner kick will be out for a minimum of six months, according to team doctor Ibrahim Gyaran.
He will, therefore, miss Nigeria’s opening group match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic on November 14 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, the Edo State capital.
