Why I picked Okoye ahead of Ezenwa as Uzoho’s replacement–Rohr
Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has explained why he replaced Francis Uzoho with Maduka Okoye in Sunday’s international friendly against Brazil in Singapore.
Many were expecting to see Ikechukwu Ezenwa take the place of Uzoho was injured but the German had a contrary opinion.
He said Ezenwa has not been playing since moving to Heartland of Owerri in the Nigeria domestic league.
“Ezenwa didn’t play since a few months ago, not even in the CHAN team, so we decided to play Maduka because of his competitiveness with his club,” he concluded.
