Amaju and Giwa

FIFA have been studying the situation of things after receiving a formal report by the NFF last Friday
which documented how the Pinnick board was sacked and how Chris Giwa emerged as the NFF President.

The football governing body was also informed of the formal invitation of Amaju Pinnick along with NFF
first vice-president, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, second vice-president, Shehu Dikko, general-secretary,
Dr Mohammed Sanusi and executive committee member, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf by the Economic and Financial
crimes Commission (EFCC) on corruption charges.

There are fears that FIFA’s ruling may not favour Nigeria going by past decisions.

Meanwhile the Jos High Court will today give ruling on an application brought before it by the Pinnick
led-board to stop Giwa from parading himself as the NFF President.

Crisis of such nature has now become a routine in Nigeria football particularly when the Eagles crashed
out of the FIFA World Cup which dates back to 2010 edition in South Africa.

Another NFF Election was due for September 30 in Katsina.
