Sportinglife.ng can authoritatively reveal that the return leg of the 2019 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifying match between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and their Gambia counterparts which was initially billed for Calabar, Cross River State will now hold at the Agege Stadium, Lagos on June 11,2018.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) general secretary Mohammed Sanusi said the change of venue was due to the report of its technical department on the state of the U.J Esuene pitch.

“Look we want all our national teams to qualify for all competitions and we must provide good pitches for them. The Flying Eagles managed to qualify for the next stage and if you watched the game, you will agree with me that the pitch contributed to their outing. Also we have consulted the Head Coach Thomas Dennerby before taking the decision which he has approved,” Sanusi said

Sanusi also stated that the Super Falcons will be given adequate attention by providing all the needed logistics for the two matches. He said the federation has already sent flight tickets to the 10 foreign-based players invited for the match.
