Eagles’ must be co-ordinated – Onigbinde

With less than three weeks to Nigeria’s first World Cup game against Croatia, Former Super Eagles coach Adegboye Onigbinde has expressed satisfaction with the team’s unity since coming together two years ago.

“I am expecting the Super Eagles team for this 2018 World Cup in Russia to perform beyond expectations because they have been together for two solid years and the coach, Gernor Rohr has done a tremendous job.

It is a big advantage when a team is together for a long time because it brings cohesion,”Onigbinde confirmed to SportingLife.ng

“They only need to be co-ordinated to get a good result at the World Cup.”

Recalled that Onigbinde took over the Nigerian national team following the removal of Shuaibu Amodu who led the Eagles to the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations

He led a Nigeriam side largely dominated by inexperienced players to the 2002 FIFA World Cup that crashed out in the first round without winning a single game.
