Nigerian players: Hope of a promising future – Sodje
Former Nigeria international, Sam Sodje, has said that the current crop of Nigerian players and their performances at the club levels are enough indications of a better national team in the future.
Sodje speaking in a chat with brila.net said he was hopeful that the present national team will be up and doing to take Nigerian football to her next level of greatness.

He added that the team looks so strong on paper considering the performance of the players at the club level and he can only hope that the Super Eagles are able to translate their clubs’ forms to the national team.
“We’ve got a bunch of players at the moment coming through and Nigeria as a nation should be proud and happy for the future. Coming to all these games I think we should be positive. On paper, we are the top side but we need to turn up and perform on the pitch. I hope Gernot Rohr understands that the players he has at the moment are top quality and unbelievable.”
