Scorecard: Iheanacho, Onuachu, Osimhen, and Nwankwo continue to paint Europe with goals

Consistency has now become the trademark of Nigerian stars in Europe and other parts of the world as they recorded outstanding showing for their clubs in the last few days of this month.

Still basking in the euphoria of their successful outing with Super Eagles in the AFCON qualifiers, Nigerian stars put up a superlative showing by scoring for their clubs in the various football leagues.

The natural attacking machinery of the Nigeria team proved their worth just like in the ’90s during the days of Rashidi Yekini, Emmanuel Amuneke, Daniel Amokachi, and Mutiu Adepoju and later resurfaced stars like Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Nigerian football is gradually moving up towards that direction.

With the improvement recorded by all these stars, Nigeria should not have any problem qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Genk towering striker, Paul Onuachu found the back of the net for the second consecutive league game as the club overwhelmed St. Truiden 4-0 on Sunday.

The former Midtjylland star has now scored in his last four games for both club and country. Onuachu fired Genk to victory against Oud-Heverlee Leuven recently was also on target in the Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against the Benin Republic and Lesotho.

The 26-year-old is now just one strike away from reaching the 30 goal mark in the Belgian top-flight this season following his latest effort.

Also,in-form forward Kelechi Iheanacho delivered another man-of-the-match display as he netted a brilliant late brace, but Leicester City suffered a bruising 3-2 loss at West Ham to depart the London Stadium without a point.

Former Golden Eaglets hitman, Victor Osimhen, scored his second goal in his last three league games as Napoli beat Sampdoria 2-0 in the Serie A encounter between the two sides on Sunday afternoon.

Joe Aribo grabbed his seventh league goal of an incredible season to open the scoring for Rangers in their clash against Hibernian on Sunday.
