Omeruo plays 13th game for Leganes in their 2-1 Win At Vallecano
Spanish side, Legannes held on till the end to secure another vital win against Rayo Vallecano with Nigeria international, Kenneth Omeruo featuring in his 13th game for the visitors in a La Liga fixture on Monday night.
Rayo Vallecano who were at home lost to Legannes 2-1 who were played with 10 men following the sending off Allan Nyom in the second half.
Vallecano failed to take advantage of their numerical strength, as it was the visitors who took the lead in the 36th minute through on loan striker, Martin Braithwaite.
They however equalised in the 83rd minute through Alvaro Garcia who netted on the rebound after Jose Pozo’s shot had been saved.
But when Vallecano thought the game was heading for a draw, Legannes struck two minutes later through Youssef En-Nesyri from a Oscar Rodriguez’s corner.
The win which was Leganes third over Rayo Vallecano in four games this season across all competition takes them to the 13th position on the table, three points clear of the relegation zone.
In the case of Vallecano, the loss to Legannes ended their unbeaten run and they are now 18th just a point adrift of safety.

Omeruo has made 15 league appearance since he arrived on a season loan from Premier League club, Chelsea.
