Omeruo sinks with Leganés as Vidal’s strike completes Barca’s comeback win

Barcelona came from behind to snatch a 2-1 victory against Leganés with substitute Arturo Vidal getting the winning goal in a La Liga contest on Saturday.

Nigeria international, Kenneth Omeruo was on for Leganes until the 83rd minute when he was replaced by Rodrigo Tarin. Fellow compatriot, Chidozie Awaziem was on the bench for the entire encounter.

The home side had taken the lead in coach Javier Aguirre’s first home game thanks to a superb strike into the top corner from Youssef En-Nesyri in the 12th minute.

They would have extended their lead before the break before Barcelona levelled in the 52nd minute when Luis Suárez glanced in Lionel Messi’s free-kick.

Barcelona won the game thanks to a fortunate goal in the 79th minute from the Chile midfielder  who was in a clear offside position when he knocked in from close range but a VAR review allowed the goal to stand.

Leganes remain at the bottom of the league with a just a win from 14 matches.
