Ordega wins Player of the Match after Zambia victory

Super Falcons forward, Francesca Ordega has won the Player of The Match Award following her contributions that earned Nigeria a 4-0 win over Zambia in the second match of group B of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Ordega who plays her club football with Washington Spirit in the United States of America doubled Nigeria’s lead in the 69th minute from a Desire Oparanozie rebound.

She had earlier set up the first goal after breaking free from the left to find Oparanozie who easily tapped the ball past the Zambia keeper.

Speaking after the game, Ordega promised to give her best to ensure the Falcons retain the trophy which they won two years ago.

Nigeria would now face Equatorial Guinea in their final match of the group on Saturday and a need a win to qualify to the next round.
