Oshoala Foundation Football4girls: Ossy Angels are champions

Ossy Angels emerged the winners of Asisat Oshoala Foundation Football4girls after defeating Victory Queens of Ikorodu 3-0 in the final held at the Agege Stadium on Thursday.

The competition sponsored by Emzor Pharmaceutical in partnership with the Lagos State Sports Commission saw both teams gave good account of themselves with their display of beautiful football artistry.

Monday Gift opened scoring for Ossy Angels in the 38th minute of the encounter, while Shukurat Oladipo increased the tally in the 46th minute.

Efforts by Victory Queens to reduce the tally proved abortive as Monday Gift sealed the victory six minutes later for the third goal as hand Ossy Angels the grand prize.

Ossy Angels star, Onyenezide Esther was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), following an impressive performance in the semifinal and the final.

Before the final, the third-place match ended goalless between Phoenix Queens and SGH Queens. It was the FC Phoenix Queens who came out tops, winning 4-2 on penalties, to finish third.
