OUTSTANDING BONUSES, ALLOWANCES: NFF clears Eagles’ N98m debts

Sportinglife.ng can reveal exclusively today that chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) setttled all the outstanding payments owed Super Eagles players, coaches and backroom staff amounting to to close to N98 million.

Sportinglife.ng gathered further that payemt was done for the two games against Libya in Uyo and in Tunisia, which Nigeria won 3-0 and 3-2 and the away game against Seychelles in Victoria.

Sportinglife.ng scooped that federation reached out to its sponsors for the bail out as part of their contributions towards the team for next year, having waited in vain for the Sports Ministry to release the body’s quarterly grants from the Federal Government.

But the team’s captain Ahmed Musa reached out to the federation’s chieftains to laud them for fulfilling their promises to settle all their entitlements after the Uganda friendly adding that: ”We have never seen this type of FA board, whose members’ words are their bonds. This kind of sincerity will drive the boys to give their best during matches, knowing that their welfare is guaranteed, even if such payments come late.”
