Pochettino marks 26th wedding anniversary after Everton victory

MAURICIO POCHETTINO gave his wife the perfect anniversary gift as his Tottenham stars piled on the trouble and strife for Everton.

This Toffee thrashing showed just why Manchester United are so desperate to make a proposal to White Hart Lane chief Poch about taking over.

Victory meant Spurs closed the gap to Manchester City in second to two points.

And Poch said: “The numbers two and six are very special today. It’s my present for my wife, we got married 26 years ago. “And this is a fantastic way to celebrate tonight.”

Theo Walcott put Everton ahead and Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a header controversially ruled out.

Pochettino said: “I’m so pleased, so happy. We came from a really tough game against Arsenal and today we were so fresh.

“We played very good football. It was fantastic. When you play that way, you must be very proud.”
