Premier League Goal: Iheanacho’s screamer leading

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho is in pole position to win the Premier League goal of the weekend in the final day round of matches, according to a poll conducted by Sky Sports.

After the last day of matches on Sunday, the UK based media who are the media partners of the English Premier League (EPL) carried out a poll to determine the best goal.

The results which were posted on its Twitter handle on Monday showed Iheanacho’s screamer against Tottenham in Sunday’s nine-goal thriller topping with 47%.

Coming a distant second is Manchester City and Brazil international, Gabriel Jesus for his goal against Southampton with 21%. While  Harry Kane of Tottenham and West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic are third and fourth with 15% and 17% respectively.

It was Iheanacho’s third league goal for the Foxes but believed to be his best of the season.

It was a 20-yard effort from the Nigerian who is on the 30-man Super Eagles preliminary list that was announced by head coach, Gernot Rohr on Monday.
