At the end of the tournament, FIFA distributes a £169 million Club Benefits Programme that ensures clubs are compensated for sending their stars to the tournament.

Per The Times, City will get a payment of £4.5 million, which is more than any team in the world.

Barcelona were the next closest with 17 players in Qatar, but most of their group was with Spain, who crashed out in the round of 16.
