Real Madrid plot Mbappe raid as PSG ready £50m deal before Euros

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pull out all the stops to keep Kylian Mbappe out of Real Madrid’s clutches amid fears they could lose him for £100million.

And they are willing to make him as well-paid as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in order to convince him to stay long-term.

The Galacticos have long-been plotting a swoop for the 21-year-old French World Cup winner.

And now they believe they have devised a plan to get the hotshot for a cut-price £100million in 2021.

Mbappe, who currently pockets around £125,000, is out of contract in 2022.

And Madrid are ready to employ similar tactics to those used to nab Eden Hazard from Chelsea last summer to get their man.

Today’s report in AS claims they will wait another 18 months before launching a move.

The hotshot will then be in the final year of his contract, with the Spanish giants hoping to convince him not to renew in order to pile pressure on PSG to sell cheap rather than lose him for free 12 months later.

However, a “dizzying” new offer could change everything – and it will be on the table ahead of this summer’s Euro 2020.

PSG want to get their striker’s situation sorted as quickly as possible and hope to do so by offering to move Mbappe into the same wage bracket as Ronaldo and Messi, who net a basic weekly pay packet of £510,000-a-week and £541,796.

They hope to help finance the package through the ex-Monaco ace’s off-field worth.

Since his and Neymar’s arrival in 2018, Nike decided to extend their sponsorship with the club from £21m-a-year to £63m, with shirt sales also booming.

But Madrid president Florentino Perez knows the economic return Mbappe would bring, which AS state would mean “part of his salary would be paid”.

Mbappe is believed to have snubbed two offers from PSG to renew so far, but hopes appear high that it will be third time lucky for the Parisians.
