Rivers Angels felicitate with Christopher Green on his award
Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha, General Manager, Rivers Angels Football Club, has on behalf of the management, players and entire technical crew congratulated the immediate past Sports Commissioner, Barrister Christopher Green on the award of second highest honour of Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS).
The award was bestowed on Barr Green by the Rivers State Government during the State Award/Pre-inauguration Dinner held inside the banquet hall of the Government House on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Mrs Oyiloha described the award as a well-deserved one for Barrister Green, who has served two times as Sports Commissioner and has taken sports development in the state to a whole new level.
According to her, “Within the short period of Barrister Green in this ministry, there have been immense improvement in the affairs of every department. It is only deserving he gets such a recognition following the works he has done so far.
“I believe this will spur him to do more for the State as far as sports is concerned because he is one who never gives up on his own and encourages those around him to give in their all for the good people of Rivers State.
“His dedication to the development of Sports is one I greatly emulate and I pray he continues in this stead and never relent.”
