Rohr: Oshimhen, Chukwueze tipped to start against Uganda

Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr has declared today’s International friendly match between his team, the Eagles and the visiting Cranes of Uganda as the beginning of preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations’ finals.
The Franco-German football tactician disclosed that he fancied a serious and thorough preparation for the 2019 AFCON which is due to start barely seven months from now. He believed that with good preparations the Eagles can win the championship.
So Rohr is not treating today’s match against Uganda with kid gloves a reason why he has decided to name a very strong team to play against the visitors today at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
“The International friendly match between the Eagles and the Cranes of Uganda will be the first preparation match for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals. It is starting already on Tuesday (today) against this very good team of Uganda.
“The plan is to prepare well for the 2019 AFCON. We need to prepare well to be in good shape to have a shot at winning the competition. We have a talented young team blessed with very good experienced players that can combine well together to win the championship but a very good preparation is vital to achieve this”, Rohr disclosed to SportingLife.ng.
He also disclosed that new comer Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen would be involved in today’s match baring any injury.
” It was not yet time for the newly invited players to play against South Africa. But players like Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen and others will have the opportunity to play on Tuesday (today)”, Rohr disclosed.
