.Eagles Manager target victory

Super Eagles’ Technical  Adviser Gernot Rohr has revealed  that he would be testing  some new players when the Eagles clash with the Pharaohs of Egypt in the much anticipated international friendly match slated for Late Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, in March.

Shortly after the 2018 World Cup held in Russia, Rohr extended invitations to these four players namely Samuel Kalu,  Samuel Chukwueze, Semi Ajayi and Jamilu Collins and the players have since proved to be quality addition to the Eagles by seamlessly blending into the first team of the senior National football team.

That has impressed and also motivated the Franco-German football tactician who is now planning to test fresh legs against the Egyptians.

The Eagles gaffer had told SportingLife.ng late December 2018 that he had been moving across Europe to personally watch some of the matches involving Super Eagles’ players in their various clubs in Europe and has also discovered few quality players that he may like to test against the Egyptian national team.

Besides that Rohr has concluded plans with his assistants to watch live some of the matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in order to get fresh legs to be included in the pools of talents needed by the Eagles to succeed this year and beyond.

“We are using the friendly against strong Egypt National team to test some players.

“I and my assistants are not taking the friendly match against Egypt lightly.  In fact we are planning to win the friendly match in preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations this year”, Rohr disclosed.
