Rohr to work on Eagles defence ahead AFCON qualifiers
Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr is anxious about commencing programs for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to Seychelles on September 7, 2018 in Victoria in the first weekend of September.
Rohr believed that there isn’t much time to waste with barely two months to the match the Eagles must win to bounce back into contention for qualification for Cameroon 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Franco-German Coach who came back to Russia on Wednesday to continue to enjoy the ongoing World Cup told Sporting Life.ng that he has prepared himself for the qualifiers but awaiting the go head from the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation.
“I came back to Nigeria to see our people and to debrief with federation and sports officials our World Cup participation in Russia. “We have also to prepare the AFCON campaign which is starting in a few weeks.
“The team has to improve on defensive concentration, we have to look also for left foot and fast players who can help fortify the team.
I am back in Russia now and will follow France – Uruguay quarterfinals match on Friday “, Rohr disclosed to SporringLife.ng in Russia on Thursday.
