Roma to slam £100m price tag onTammy Abraham

Roma face a battle to keep Tammy Abraham this summer and are expected to place a £100million price tag on the striker’s head.

The England striker has been a huge hit in Italy since leaving boyhood club Chelsea last summer, scoring 23 goals in 37 starts for Jose Mourinho’s side since his £34m arrival from Stamford Bridge.

Abraham’s form in Italy has sparked growing interest from top Premier League clubs who are interested in bringing him back to these shores next season.

Chelsea inserted a buy-back option into Abraham’s deal, allowing the club to re-sign him for about £67m from next year.

But the Blues’ domestic rivals are exploring the possibility of a move for Abraham at the end of this season.

Manchester United are in the market for a centre forward this summer, as are Manchester City — although Pep Guardiola’s side are prioritising a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Clubs from rival European leagues are also considering a move for Abraham.

Roma are desperate to keep hold of the 24-year-old, who is under contract until 2026, and sources have indicated that they will place the huge valuation of £100m on the striker in the hope of fending off interest.

But if a club get close to meeting the price, then the Serie A club — who posted losses of £154m last October — would find it difficult to resist the temptation to cash in, particularly given that Chelsea would be able to re-sign Abraham for much less than that next year. At the moment Tammy whose full name is  Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, is one hot bride suitors will be glad to have.
