Russia 2018: Omeruo ready to fight for shirt

Kasimpasa loanee and Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo, has extensively stated his readiness to fight for a spot in the FIFA World Cup Mundial come June.

Omeruo, is ready to give the Super Eagles tactician Gernot Rohr a run for his money, particularly in the right back position as he is determined to dazzle and show the world his capabilities as he prepares to make the final 23 man list.
The 24 year old Chelsea FC defender who wrapped up a season long loan deal to Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa has said that he’s ready to work harder than before as he prepares to fight for his spot against some talented young players.
‘’ I’m sure I won’t make the decision for the coach, but I will fight for a place against some very good players,’’ Omeruo stated.
The 2013 African Cup of Nations winner, who has 38 caps under his belt for the Super Eagles also, believes that the coming England and Czech Republic friendly games would help gear up the team’s moral level.
‘’ these games will help our confidence level and we are focused on every game,’’ he added.
The former Standard Liege stellar assured Nigerian football fans that the most coveted World Cup trophy is within the reach of the team should the Super Eagles start the campaign against the Blazers of Croatia on a positive note.
