ENGLAND, NIGERIA FRIENDLY: 70-seater VIP jet to AIRLIFT Eagles to London
Charter plane arrives Abuja May 29; Departs FCT May 30
Sportinglife.ng can reveal exclusively that Nigeria’s senior soccer team Super Eagles’ players, officials and coaches would depart the country on May 30 aboard a charter 70-seater all VIP platforms jet to London, ahead of the June 2 high profile international friendly game against England’s Three Lions inside the magnificient Wembley Stadium at 5.15 pm.
Sportinglife.ng gathered that the charter jet would arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on May 29.
Eagles and thier coaches and officials will fly out of England on June 3 for Austria to prepare for another international friendly, the team’s last test game against Czech Republic, after which they would begin full preparations for the Russia 2018 World Cup matches under a closed trained camp situation.
A source revealed that chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have met with the honourable Sports Minister Solomon Dalung to perfect the country’s contingent’s hitch-free trips to London, Austria and eventually Russia for the Mundial, where Nigeria begins her first game against Croatia on June 16.
