“We just returned from Russia where we paid a courtesy call to the Nigerian Embassy, the President of the Nigerian Community  in Russia and his executive members and also the Chairman of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club Russia Chapter. We had fruitful discussions as regards receiving the Nigerian delegation and at the same time preparing to host and also cheer up the Super Eagles.

” We also visited the three cities that the Eagles will play their group matches. We went to see the governors and mayors of these cities. Everybody is eager to watch the Eagles play.

The Nigeria Ambassador to Russia Professor Steve Ugbah has been of tremendous help. He led the delegation of the Nigeria House to the three cities and was a huge success. With the intervention of the Nigerian Embassy we got a soft landing as regards accommodation for visiting Nigerians

“The only thing we need to do like they said is first come, first served so that we can be there in good time to indicate our interest in the hotels, hostels, service apartments or holiday ins. These are the options. But as regards funding I know the Sports Ministry and the Nigeria Football Federation are on top of the situation”, Abdullahi disclosed to Sportinglife.ng.
