Sadiq scores 13th goal of the season in Almeria’s win over Lugo

Umar Sadiq continues his good form in the Spanish Segunda division as he scored and created another for Almeria in their 4-1 home win over Lugo on Saturday.

Sadiq opened scored the first goal of the game in the 11th minutes when he latched to the rebound after his initial penalty was saved.

The former AS Roma player has now scored 13 goals for Almeria since joining from Partizan Belgrade last summer.

Umar Sadiq’s goal was canceled out by Manu Barreiro in the 41st minutes of the encounter as he equalized from the penalty spot.

Jose Carlos Lazo later made it 2 – 1 for Almeria in the 46th minutes after converting a pass from Sergio Akieme.

It became 3-1 nine minutes after the hour mark when Jose Carpas scored a beautiful goal.

Almeria continued to search for more and Jose Carpas grabbed his second in the 75th minute, assisted by Umar Sadiq.

Meanwhile, Umari Sadiq was replaced by Cesar de la Hoz in the 83rd minutes as Almeria held on to a vital win.

The win temporarily took Almeria to third position on 52 points, two points behind leaders Mallorca.
